Jillian says she’s okay with splurging as long as it’s not for every meal. “You can have chicken-fried steak or whatever splurge food you’re craving 20 percent of the time, but the other 80, you’ve got to make the better choice.” She gives the example of opting for poached eggs and whole-wheat toast instead of pancakes plus a salad with grilled chicken for lunch instead of pizza.
